In a bold and strategic move to ensure the most memorable and impactful Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the history of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the Enugu State Government has engaged in high-level collaboration with the NBA Conference Planning Committee (CPC) and Local Organizing Committee (LOC) ahead of the 2025 NBA Annual General Conference.

From May 29 to June 1, 2025, the NBA President, Mazi Afam Osigwe SAN, led a high-powered CPC delegation on a familiarization tour of Enugu State. The visit focused on strengthening the LOC’s preparations, inspecting key venues—most notably the ultra-modern Enugu International Conference Center, recently completed by the state government—and holding strategic meetings with key state actors.

The President’s visit marks a significant milestone in NBA’s preparations, and underscores the ambition to deliver an exceptional conference experience for Nigerian lawyers converging in Enugu from August 22–29, 2025.

The Enugu State Government, under the dynamic leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, has pledged full support to the NBA and expressed its readiness to create a legacy event marked by excellence, innovation, and hospitality. Known for his perfectionist ideals and forward-thinking governance, Governor Mbah has committed to showcasing Enugu’s:

  • Rapid infrastructure and economic development,
  • Breathtaking topography and natural beauty,
  • Sophisticated city planning and digital transformation,
  • Warmth and hospitality of Ndi Enugu.

In furtherance of this vision, the Governor has constituted a robust 16-member Sub-Committee structure within the State Government to interface and collaborate seamlessly with the NBA’s CPC and LOC. The state committees will work under the supervision of Hon. Dr. Kingsley Tochi Udeh, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Enugu State.
