The marital crisis between popular comedian and skit maker, Kehinde Ganiyu, popularly known as Ijoba Lande, and his estranged wife, Darasimi, has taken a dramatic turn, with accusations of infidelity, gambling addiction, and domestic abuse.

Dara recently spoke in an interview with actress Biola Adebayo, where she denied allegations made by Lande that she had slept with 21 men in the entertainment industry. She challenged him to release any evidence he claimed to have. She also accused her ex-husband of being a gambling addict who frequently assaulted her.

According to Dara, their marital problems were worsened by Lande’s manager, Marygold, who was also her friend. She alleged that Marygold influenced her decision to date Lande and later caused rifts in their marriage.

“When I met Lande, I wasn’t after his money. People advised against our relationship, and even then, I was dating someone else. But my friend, Marygold, convinced me to be with him after he showed interest at a party. Lande was addicted to online betting, especially Aviator, which drained him financially. He sold his car and still used the money to gamble. He had no time for me and was always glued to betting sites,” she revealed.

Dara further claimed that she had to collect food on credit because Lande failed to provide for her. Their disputes escalated when Lande sided with Marygold over a failed contribution scheme involving N100,000 monthly contributions.

She also stated that before leaving Lande’s house, they had planned to create content showing her departure. She insisted that she paid for their introduction ceremony herself and did not take anything from their home when she left.

The controversy further intensified after allegations that Dara engaged in inappropriate activities during a “Truth or Dare” game at Nollywood actor Babatunde Tayo (Baba Tee)’s residence. Dara admitted to being drunk and regretting her involvement, stating that she had no recollection of what transpired.

Ijoba Lande previously accused Baba Tee and other colleagues of having affairs with his wife. In response, Baba Tee denied the allegations but later admitted to an encounter with Dara. He issued a public apology on Facebook, writing,

“I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother Lande. Deep how Dara became Lande’s wife without my knowledge… Hmmm. I fear women.”

Dara has now publicly apologized for her actions. Speaking on the Talk to B podcast, she pleaded for forgiveness from Lande and Nigerians.

“Ijoba Lande, don’t be upset with me. I’m also begging everybody I have disappointed and Nigerians all over the world. This is not who I am. I pray never to make such a mistake again. I beg you in the name of God, I’m so sorry,” she said.

Her apology follows similar pleas from Baba Tee and Marygold, who also asked for Lande’s forgiveness. Marygold admitted to taking Dara to Baba Tee’s house, where the alleged affair took place.
