Mr. Adesina Ogunlana, former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Ikeja branch and renowned activist, will be laid to rest on Thursday, September 12, 2024. Ogunlana, who led the branch popularly known as the “Tiger Bar,” was widely respected for his unwavering commitment to justice and human rights advocacy.

The burial proceedings, as announced by Mr. Ayo Ademiluyi, a longtime associate of the deceased, will unfold as follows:

– Wednesday, September 11, 2024
– 4:00 PM: Service of Songs and Wake
– 6:00 PM: Night of Tributes
– Venue: NBA Ikeja Bar Centre, High Court premises, Oba Akinjobi Way, GRA Ikeja

-Thursday, September 12, 2024
– 9:00 AM: Commendation Service at the Chapel of St. Luke’s The Physician, LASUTH, Ikeja
– Interment: RCCG Memorial Garden, Redemption Camp, Mowe (immediately after the service)

The ceremonies are expected to draw a significant crowd, including colleagues, fellow activists, and members of the legal community. They will come together to pay their respects and celebrate the life and legacy of a man who dedicated his career to the pursuit of justice and the protection of human rights.

As the legal fraternity prepares to bid farewell to one of its most outspoken members, the impact of Ogunlana’s work and the principles he stood for are expected to be central themes in the tributes and commemorations.
