Passengers of Airpeace, one of Nigeria’s leading domestic airlines, were left stranded at various airports across the country on Tuesday as the airline cancelled and rescheduled several flights without adequate notice.

Many frustrated passengers took to social media to express their displeasure with the airline’s handling of the situation. Some complained of being stuck at airports for hours without any clear communication from Airpeace about the status of their flights.

“Airpeace please pity us. My own refreshment came around 8pm and I’m still in Lagos,” tweeted one passenger, Geraldine (@MissDera_).

Another passenger, Olusegun B. Raji (@Segetu1), questioned the airline’s operations, stating, “When flight cancellations and rescheduling become a constant in your operations, then it means there is something fundamentally wrong #airpeace. Why was my flight for tomorrow rescheduled for 11hrs??”

Some passengers reported that their flights were moved to much later times, often late into the night. “Airpeace moved 7pm flight to 12:15am,” shared Tomiwa Anjorin (@Tomtaxy) on Twitter.

The airline’s handling of the situation has led many to question its competence and customer service. “It will not be well with Airpeace. You keep cancelling people’s flights. Why on earth will you people cancel flight from Abuja to Asaba without informing people? God will judge your incompetent airline,” tweeted Osasvee (@Osasvee156379).

As of the time of this report, Airpeace had not released an official statement addressing the widespread flight disruptions and the reasons behind them. The airline’s silence has only added to the frustration and anger of its stranded passengers.

TheNigerialawyer made efforts to reach out to Airpeace for comments on the situation, but the airline’s representatives were not picking up calls. This lack of response from the airline has further compounded the issue and left passengers without any clear answers or resolution.

This incident has once again raised concerns about the state of Nigeria’s aviation industry and the reliability of domestic airlines. Passengers are calling for greater accountability and improved communication from airlines to prevent such situations from occurring in the future.
