The Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) has announced its partnership with the Lagos State Multi-Door Courthouse to support the Lagos State Settlement Week (LSW) 2024.

This collaboration aims to promote the use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods to expedite case resolution and reduce the backlog in the Lagos State judiciary system.
The Lagos State Settlement Week is an initiative that encourages the settlement of pending cases and disputes through mediation and other ADR practices. By partnering with the ICMC, the Lagos State Multi-Door Courthouse seeks to leverage the expertise of chartered mediators and conciliators to facilitate efficient and effective dispute resolution.
In line with its vision to incorporate mediation and ADR practices as preferred dispute resolution approaches in communities and institutions, the ICMC fully supports the LSW and urges its members to actively participate in the settlement week.

The referral of cases for the Lagos State Settlement Week 2024 is ongoing and will continue until August 14, 2024. The event will take place at the High Court of Lagos State, Ikeja, and Osborne, with sessions running from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
