The Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) is now accepting registrations for its upcoming course titled “Mediating Communal Conflicts.”

The course, which offers 18 CPD units, aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively mediate communal disputes in Nigeria.

Nigeria, being a multi-ethnic society, has experienced various conflicts over the years, with communal disputes being the most prevalent. These conflicts have escalated to the point of disrupting regional and national peace and security, resulting in the loss of lives, displacement of people, and destruction of properties.

The ICMC course will analyze the causes and factors that contribute to the escalation of communal conflicts. Participants will learn how to balance the differences, wills, and capabilities of disputing individuals, groups, or communities. The course will also focus on how mediators can provide multi-faceted solutions to help parties reach mutually satisfying and sustainable resolutions.

The course fee for ICMC members is N70,000 (Seventy Thousand Naira only), while non-members will pay N90,000 (Ninety Thousand Naira only).

Interested individuals can register or make inquiries by contacting the following:
