The Nigerian Bar Association Section on Public Interest and Development Law (NBA-SPIDEL) has constituted a 17-member committee to coordinate preparations for its 2024 annual conference scheduled for May in Asaba, Delta State.

A statement signed by the SPIDEL Chairman announced that Dr. Uju Agomoh will chair the conference planning committee, with Paul Daudu serving as Secretary.

Other members include prominent lawyers Okey Ohagba, Anne Agi, Othadua Okpakpor, Godfrey Echecho, Jeroma Sam-Oligida, Ebimo Anuwanta, Victor Nwakasi, Chinedu Obienu, Charity Ibezim, Sadiya Saleh, a representative of the Legal Aid Council, Hilary Ogbonna from the National Human Rights Commission, Emeka Nwadioke, Uche Nwadialo, and Ali Jamilu.

The Chairman noted that the committee’s membership may be reviewed if necessary, and that a local organizing team in Asaba will also be set up in due course.

He thanked the members for accepting to utilize their time, experience and energy towards delivering a world-class 2024 SPIDEL Conference.

The committee has its work cut out to plan all aspects of the conference, including logistics, events, speakers, sponsors, exhibitions etc. The Asaba outing promises to be biggest SPIDEL event based on recent attendance records.
