The Nigerian Navy (NN) has announced job opportunities for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 29 Special Enlistment. This recruitment includes openings in the Legal Service department.

Legal Service Entry Requirements:

  • LLB and BL qualifications are required.
  • LLM in International Maritime Law, International Law, or Forensic Law is an added advantage.

How to Apply: Interested and qualified candidates can apply online starting from 27th December 2023. The application portal link is available on the official Nigerian Navy website.

General Information to Candidates:

  • Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth.
  • Submission of false information or fake certificates will lead to disqualification and possible prosecution.
  • Minimum educational requirements include Second Class Upper Division for First-degree holders and Upper Credit for HND holders.
  • Computer literacy is an added advantage.
  • Possession of certificates of full registration with relevant statutory professional bodies in Nigeria is mandatory.
  • O’level West African Examination Certificate (WAEC) is compulsory, with credits in Mathematics and English.
  • NYSC discharge certificate or letter of exemption is required.
  • Age requirement is between 22 and 28 years by 25th March 2024 (except for Medical Officers, who should not be more than 30 years).
  • Serving personnel in other military or paramilitary services must obtain a letter of attestation signed by the heads of their units.
