The Garki Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has announced plans to host a 2-day Intellectual Property (IP) workshop on Zoom in partnership with Nasara Creative.

The virtual event is scheduled for November 15-16, 2023 starting at 10:00AM West Central Africa time each day. It will feature four sessions packed with teachings on various aspects of IP law and practice.

In a statement, the Chairman of the Garki NBA branch noted that the workshop aims to equip lawyers with essential knowledge and skills relating to IP, an increasingly crucial area for legal practitioners.

Registration for the Zoom IP workshop is open to lawyers across Nigeria interested in developing expertise in trademarks, patents, copyrights and other forms of intellectual property. Participants will receive training from seasoned IP law experts over the two days.

Lawyers can register in advance for the workshop using the link: [https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZIpc-qhrj0rGtE3x90XzcrDhYJncgVRsc3l#/registration]. After signing up, attendees will get a confirmation email with details on how to join the virtual sessions each day.

The NBA Garki branch highlighted that this is one of several capacity building initiatives it has undertaken lately to enrich members’ skills and boost their ability to offer quality legal services, especially in new practice areas.
