The Body of Benchers has changed the venue of the Call to Bar Ceremony for successful aspirants scheduled to hold tomorrow, 27th of July.

The event which was earlier slated to hold at the premises of the Nigerian Law School in Bwari was shifted due to security concerns following the killing of officers of the Presidential Guard close to the Law School yesterday.

In a telephone conversation, the Secretary of the Bench of Benchers, Daniel Tela confirmed to TheNigeriaLawyer that after a meeting this afternoon, the BoB decided to relocate the venue of the ceremony to the Body of Benchers Secretariat, Behind EFCC New Headquarters, Jabi (Plot 688, Institute & Research District FCC, Phase 111, Abuja, FCT).

Tela also restated that the ceremony is exclusively for aspirants, and family members as well as well-wishers remain excluded from participating in it.

His message partly read; “Parents/Guardians/Friends of the aspirants and the General public should take note that the ceremony is strictly for the Aspirants, therefore only the Aspirants will be granted access to the venue.

“There will be live coverage of the event on Channels Television as well as live streaming on Youtube.”
