The Nigeria Law School Class of 1980 has set aside the sum of N5 million as an endowment for the best graduating male and female students at the school.

A member of the planning committee of the 42nd Anniversary and Reunion event of the class, Professor Epiphany Azinge (SAN), disclosed this while briefing newsmen.

The committee said the week-long programme is to appreciate God for preserving the lives of surviving members of the class after losing 101 of the 540 members.

Azinge also expressed support for the judgement of the National Industrial Court, which awarded a N10 million monthly salary for the Chief Justice of Nigeria.

He said the court has set the tone for negotiation on the right pay for judicial officers.

“You cannot accuse the judiciary of corruption and be starving them of funds,” he said.
