*Former Chair Passed On Saturday At National Hospital, Abuja.

The Abuja branch of the Nigerian Bar Association has been thrown into morning upon the announcement of the demise of its Former Chairman, Chief Uyeh Ogedengbe.

Uyeh Ogedengbe who was at one time the Chairman of Unity Bar as it is popularly known is said to have passed on Saturday, 7th of May 2022 at the National Hospital Abuja due to an undisclosed illness.

His death was officially announced by the current Secretary of the branch, Prince Adebiyi Adetosoye in a statement titled “NOTICE OF DEMISE OF OUR PAST CHAIRMAN-HIGH CHIEF UYEH OGEDENGBE” and signed by TheNigeriaLawyer.

The statement reads:

“Distinguished Learned Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Elders and Colleagues. It is with sadness and a heavy heart that the executive council of the NBA Abuja branch (Unity Bar) announce the demise of a past chairman of the NBA Abuja Branch (Unity Bar) in the person of High Chief Uyeh Ogedengbe popularly known as the GOC who past on to glory an hour ago at the National Hospital, Abuja.

Details of the burial arrangements and other activities will be communicated to members as soon as it is out.
