*Approves 24 Hours As Duration Of The Election
*Dissolves YLF Governing Council, Appoints Caretaker Committee

The National Executive Council, NEC, of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, has approved July 16th, 2022 as date for the election of the Association.
The date and duration which were proposed by the Electoral Committee of NBA, ECNBA, were approved at the ongoing meeting of the NBA
NEC at its meeting today agreed on the timing for the election of National Officers.
According to the letter TheNigerialawyer, gathered that the electioneering body, ECNBA slated 15th- 16th or 28th-29th July, as alternate for the 2022 general elections.
However, NEC chose 16th. July, 2022, It also approved that the election will be a 24 hour event instead of 48 hours.
NEC, also dissolved the Governing Council of Young Lawyers Forum.
A caretaker Committee for Young Lawyers Forum was constituted and they are given 6 months mandate to reposition and revamp the forum for proper appointment by the President.
TheNigerialawyer recalls that the Election Commission of the Nigerian Bar Association unveiled website for the 2022 general elections.
