The Electoral Committee of NBA Lagos Branch (the “Committee”) has written to Ms. Nta Ekpiken, a notable IP Law Expert, to confirm that she has been screened and considered eligible to contest for the office of the Secretary of NBA Lagos Branch.

In a letter dated 18th May 2021 signed by the Chairman of the Committee (Mr. Wale Akoni SAN) and the Secretary of the Committee, said “The Electoral Committee is pleased to inform you that you have been cleared to contest for the post of Secretary of NBA Lagos Branch… having satisfactory fulfilled the requirements for eligibility to contest…”
Nta, a member of the National Executive Committee of the NBA, who has served NBA in various capacities including, most recently, as the Course Coordinator of the Branch’s Continuing Professional Development Program had submitted her Nomination Form to the Committee on 11th May 2021 to contest as Secretary of NBA Lagos Branch in the forthcoming elections scheduled to hold on 28th June 2021.
Commenting on her clearance and qualification, Nta said “I am pleased to have received this communication from the Electoral Committee.
With this clearance, I have now fully thrown my hat in the ring for the office of the Secretary of the Branch.
I am committed to contributing my quota towards continuing, and significantly improving on, the good works that we have witnessed at the Lagos Branch of NBA.
In a short while, I will be making known my plans for the office and inviting everyone to join me on this journey towards consolidating and improving on what we have”
