The wife of President Buhari, Aisha Buhari, has launched fresh protest over insecurity in the North
Pursuant to that, she shared a song on her verified Facebook page with a new hashtag #Achechijamaa (save the people) pointing out the insecurity and killings in the Northern part of the country.
The song, which is in Hausa, is translated as follows:
Please look at our situation We need your help The North is crying Wayyo Our blood is spilt Wayyo Our people are killed Wayyo Our property destroyed Please look at our situation Baba Please protect us Baba
The protest by the wife of the president came in the midst of another ongoing widespread protest across the country to bring an end to police brutality and proscription of a notorious police unit, SARS.
The region has been battling with Boko Haram in the North East and banditry and kidnapping in the North West and North Central.
