The NBA Publicity Secretary, Dr. Rapulu Nduka has confirmed the release of the abducted female Lawyer, Paulette Bisola Ajayi.

This was disclosed in a statement which was made available to TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL).

Meanwhile, he noted that she has been successfully freed by the kidnappers, unhurt.

The statement reads:

PAULETTE BISOLA AJAYI REGAINS FREEDOM

Recall that on the 5th day of October 2020, the President of the Nigerian Bar Association – Mr. Olumide Akpata set up a Task Force and saddled it with the responsibility of ensuring the release of our abducted Colleague – Paulette Bisola Ajayi, who was abducted on the 4th October 2020.

In carrying out this mandate, the team led by the NBA 1st Vice-President – Mr. John Aikpokpo-Martins, immediately visited Port-Harcourt where they met with the Mother of our abducted Learned Colleague, the Rivers State Commissioner of Police and other security agencies. On its part, the leadership of the NBA maintained contact with the Rivers State Governor, Chief Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, the Attorney-General of Rivers State and the Rivers State Police Headquarters, on the issue.

The team after its meeting with the Rivers State Commissioner of Police and other Security Agencies was assured that no stone will be left unturned in ensuring that Paulette Bisola Ajayi is released unhurt.

The Nigerian Bar Association can now confirm that Paulette Bisola Ajayi has been released unhurt.
