The Admin Judge of the newly inaugurated Christopher Segun Court House, Hon. Justice M. O. Obadina (Mrs) has stated that Justice delivery at the Christopher Segun Courthouse Eti-Osa shall be timely, quick and efficient and urged lawyers to be diligent with their matters as the court will not tolerate unnecessary delay of cases.

She stated this when receiving the Executive Committees of the Lagos Branch of the NBA led by Mr. Yemi Akangbe.
Mr. Akangbe stated that the essence of the visit was for the branch to officially familiarize itself with the new courthouse, which is within its jurisdiction, and to welcome the judicial officers who have been posted there, as well as ensure a smooth relationship between the Bench and Bar in the administration of Justice .
The Lagos Branch Charman also formally introduced the Executive Committee members of the Eti-Osa Lawyers’ Forum led by Mr. M M A.Sanni, to the bench, as the official liaison between the Court and the branch, and to be in charge of the Bar centre at the Court House.
In his speech, M M A Sanni thanked the Judges and Magistrates for the joint meeting with Eti-Osa Lawyers’ Forum and the NBA Lagos Exco, and promised the necessary collaboration between the bar and the bench for effective justice delivery. He also used the opportunity to request the use of a more spacious facility within the court for the Forum’s monthly meeting which the NBA office may not accomodate.
The Admin Judge stated further that both Judges and Magistrates within the Court House are accessible and open to members of the Bar, but will not tolerate corruption.
She emphasized that cost may be awarded to lawyers who fail to diligently prosecute their matters, and that the bench will work hard not to delay cases.
While urging all concerned to be patient and bear with the bench, she counselled that the full compliment of the registry and the sheriff departments will soon be in place at the courthouse to enable Lawyers and litigants file their processes in Eti-Osa rather than going to Igbosere as it is still the case for now. This according to her is why judges are currently attending to their part-heard matters for now until new cases are filed within the High/Magistrate Courts.
In attendance were: the Admin Judge – Hon. Justice M.O. Obadina, Hon. Justice Animahun, Her Honours (Mrs.) Hellen Omisore, Mrs. A. A. Famobino, Mrs. T. F. Oyaniyi. The members of the NBA Lagos Executive present were: Mr. Yemi Akangbe, Mrs. Chinenye Oragwu, Mrs. Gloria Egeonu, Mrs. Florence Chijioke-Duru, Ms Anthonia Eke, Ms Ifeoma Ben, Mr. Tobenna Erojikwe and James Sonde.
Members of Eti-Osa Lawyers’ Forum present were: M.M.A Sanni, Abiye Tam-George, Abioye Akerele, Chinyere Nwaogu, Saheed Sanni, Benard Onigah, Rotimi Vaughan, Uwala Murphy-Akpieyi, Chief Ademola Sadipe, D.N.S. Torbari, Olanrewaju Obadina and others.
