Edoror’s impeachment followed a motion moved by a member representing Oredo East Constituency, Hon. Osaigboyo Oyoha, alleging financial misappropriation, anti-party activities and corruption against the former Deputy Speaker. His impeachment, however, led to a rowdy session as him and some of his loyalists tried to resist the action. When calm was returned, the impeached Deputy Speaker, a member representing Owan East Constituency, Folly Ogedengbe, and another member representing Etsako West constituency, Gani Audu, were suspended for three months.
