“23 CBT Centres Delisted, One Permanently Barred” — JAMB Sanctions 89 Others After 2026 Mock UTME Review

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has delisted 23 Computer-Based Test centres and issued warnings to 89 others following its review of the 2026 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

One centre was also barred permanently from future use in any of the board’s examinations.

JAMB, in a statement by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, on Friday, said the Mock UTME, designed to help candidates familiarise themselves with the CBT environment, also serves as a platform to assess its readiness and identify centres that fall below required operational and technical standards.

The board said it took the decisions in line with its commitment to maintaining examination integrity, to ensure only fully prepared and compliant centres participate in the main UTME.
