Pantami said the opening brought the number to 4,366 ICT projects and Digital centres, initiated, executed and completed by the present administration in the last four years.

According to Pantami, that Fourth Generation Technology (4G) networks coverage also increased from 23 to 80 per cent within the period under review.

The minister also inaugurated over 15 delivery trucks for operations of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST). He hinted that with the broadband policy initiative, the country has launched the 5G technology which is expected to ensure steady growth of the telecoms industry with coverage of underserved and unserved areas.

“Average quarterly revenue increased from N51.3 million to N408.7 billion as assessed by independent bodies,” Pantami added.
