Governor Umahi also express his resolve and commitment to reduce the staff strength of the university, to meet up with the economic reality of the State. He said that a committee would be set up to interface with government on how to downsize the staff of the universities, which he said was the highest workforce in all the universities in the South East region. Umahi made the pronouncement during his first visit to the permanent site of the state university in Ezzamgbo.
