I wish to ask Mazi Udegbulem if he has read the Constitution of EBF. All the aspirants who have shown interest are all members of EBF and willingly subscribed to the provisions of the EBF Constitution and that Constitution, states what will happen, should any of its member(s), is vying for any elective office in NBA-Article 11 (2) (3) & (4) Or is Mazi Udegbulem advising the contestants not to respect the provisions of an association they have been member of since over 2 years? As lawyers, we should not promote rule of law only when our clients pay us, but in all that we do. Is Mazi Udegbulem not concerned of the probable fate of ndi igbo should they without consensus go into election with 4 Generals against a well coordinated single unit army. I wish to refer Mazi Udegbulem to the movie 300. Only 300 organised Spartans held the entire Pasia and prevented the invasion of Europe. There is strength in unity and EBF has been providing that and will keep on doing that. NBA recognizes zoning and prescribed how offices zoned to any geographical zone must be shared. All EBF is doing, is to harmonize their interest to benefit from this NBA zoning arrangement. Mazi Udegbulem, kindly advise all to respect the Constitution of their association or they should leave the association if they feel their ambition is bigger than that of the association and that the Constitution of that association cannot allow them to express their ambition. Eastern Bar Forum (EBF), is made up of all the branches in the old Eastern Region ie Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra Bayelsa, Cross Rivers, Eboyin, Enugu, Imo and Rivers. Its membership, is open to all born, residing or practicing in any of the 9 states mentioned. In 2012-2014, Emeka Obegolu an Igbo man in Abuja, became General Secretary of NBA, 2014-2016, Afam Osigwe another igbo man based in Abuja took it and both sort and got endorsement of EBF. Another election is around the corner, should all aspirants not go back to EBF for the same rites and rituals? Most lawyers of South East extraction, had in different times and places, used EBF support to advance not only in their NBA political career but in their practice. Why should the bridge they used to cross a crocodile infested water be broken because others want to cross?
