In line with reinforcing its commitment to Africa, a global law firm, Hogan Lovells, has launched a new campaign tagged, “Be a mountain or lean on one”.Speaking on the re-branding, the firm’s Head of Africa, Andrew Skipper, explained that the idea was part of a wider strategy to build Hogan Lovells brand and reputation.
He stated that the firm has been doing business across the continent for over 30 years and was gaining presence in South Africa as it aims to expand its reach in other key markets, including Kenya and Nigeria.
“The new frontier of African businesses will break boundaries to achieve success. They are the mountains of today and the future and we are the support they can lean on. ‘Be a mountain, or lean on one’ is an African proverb chosen to form the centre of the firm’s new brand campaign. We believe the proverb we have chosen reflects not only who we are, but also who our clients are or aspire to be.
“In Africa a mountain is considered a wise and supportive leader. It has gravity and strength. Of course this describes many of our clients already and we know that they demand the support of partners equal in stature. We can provide them that support.
We are not just a law firm; we are experienced legal business advisors with an intimate knowledge of and passion for Africa. And that’s why clients can lean on us,” Skipper maintained. According to him, the continent is constantly transforming and generations of new visionaries are paving the way. “We aim to be there as a strong guide and support to these clients. Entrepreneurs can lean on us to expand, grow and move their business forward,” he added.
