The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Magaji Musa Majiya, said the 52 persons defied the ban placed on the act by the police when they converged on Zoo Road to commence the racing. He noted that the ban was aimed at protecting the lives and properties of the citizens. He said when the youths sighted the policemen on the road, rather than disperse; they started pelting law enforcement agents with stones. He added that two cars were confiscated in the process.
