The documents, which include autopsy reports of the victims and their contact addresses, were tendered in the ongoing trial of the alleged masterminds of the bombing incident, Charles Okah and Obi Nwabueze. The two accused persons are facing terrorism charges. The documents relating to the victims were produced by a Chief Pathologist of the National Hospital in Abuja, Dr. Jubrin Paul, who testified before the court as a subpoenaed witness on Thursday. Paul was led in evidence by the lead prosecuting counsel, Dr. Alex Izinyon (SAN). Among the documents tendered by him and admitted as exhibits by the court, were the certified true copies of contact details of the bomb blast victims, official receipts issued by the National Hospital, as well as a document titled, ‘Form B – Death Report to Coroner, particulars of the coroner and the details the deceased. Paul also tendered the list of the victims of the October 1, 2010 incident, comprising both the dead and the survivors. The defence counsel, Mr. Samuel Zibiri (SAN) and Mr. Oghenenovo Otemu, did not oppose the admissibility of the documents. Paul, who gave evidence as the 10th prosecution witness, put the number of the deceased victims of the bombing incident at seven. The names of the deceased victims, according to him, are Onnah Alfred, Romanus Alumonah John Arua, Verty Bala, Joshua Umaru, Onyema Ozioko and Haruna Tijani. During cross-examination by the defence counsel, the witness said he did not participate in the removal of the dead bodies. The prosecution also called, as it’s 11th witness on Thursday, Mr. Fatai Adeyinka, who was said to have sold the Mazda 626 Salon car, which was allegedly used to convey the bombs to the scene of the incident. Adeyinka, who described himself as an auto-electrician, also said he dealt in the selling of fairly used cars. The witness said the Mazda car used for the bombing was owned by one Mr. Ogundimu. He said he sold the car on behalf of Ogundimu to the second accused person (Obi) on September 17, 2010. Under cross-examination, Adeyinka confirmed the change of ownership in the document of the car was not signed by the alleged buyer (Nwabueze).
