It was learnt that the magistrate was freed along with three others on Saturday. The two of the other victims were said to be medical doctors. ‎ The medical doctors were said to be in a commercial bus when they were randomly picked out by the kidnappers. The magistrate and others were abducted in the area after the kidnappers shot her police orderly. ‎ ‎A farmer, who ran into the kidnappers and their victims in the bush, was also said to have been tied to a tree.‎‎ The victims were released near Egba village, along the Adumagba-Akure express road. ‎ They were said to have been instructed by their abductors to trek along a particular route in the forest until they got to the road.‎ ‎ They later found their way to Egba junction, along the Benin-Auchi road, on motorcycles.‎ A source said the magistrate, who was reunited with her family members at about 4pm on Saturday, was in good health. ‎Sources said the families of the victims paid some ransom for their release.‎‎‎ But efforts to reach the police spokesman, Mr. Osifo Abiodun, for comments were not successful, as at the time of filing the report.‎]]>
