*Fast forward to two months after* Mr. AB commenced work on the property and to his greatest surprise Mr. BD came to the property and informed him that he must have been duped as the property belongs to him. Mr.BD presented documents in support of his claim to wit; C of O, Survey Plan and Registered Deed of Assignment all dated 2006. In the end they all ended in court but unfortunately for Mr. AB, his friend whom he bought from was no where to be found. Quare: 1. Was it wrong for Mr. AB to trust his friend even on this type of transaction? 2. Would the situation be different if Mr. AB had contacted a lawyer before paying for the property? 3. Would the money Mr. AB would spend if he had contacted a lawyer be the same with the money he will spend as a litigant? Lawyers are doctors! We save lives and properties. You don’t take a corpse to the doctor to bring to life but you either go to a doctor to prevent a disease or heal a disease. Call on your lawyer before taking any legal step or decision. If you don’t have one, get a lawyer today! Oluyemi Adetiba.]]>
