The United States Culture Affairs has met with the Tertiary Education Trust Fund in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, to deliberate on ways to provide more scholarship programmes for deserving Nigerians.
The US delegation, led by the Culture Affairs Officer, Mr Sterling Tilley, was received on Tuesday by the TETFUND Executive Secretary, Prof. Suleiman Bogoro.
The US officer, Tilley, said the US government, through its Fulbright Scholarship Programme and the TETFund academic staff scholarship programme, could provide for scholars and students to undertake their Master’s and doctorate programmes in the United States.
According to TETFUND Director, Public Affairs, Dr Jacob Alada, the US said it could sponsor Nigerian scholars to undertake works in universities, research centres or institutes in the USTT.
