The Counsel to the petitioner, Mr Richard Ogunwole (SAN), had urged the tribunal to nullify Ajimobi’s election and declared his client as the winner of the election or order a rerun. Ogunwole contended that the election was marred by irregularities and malpractices. But, Mr Wole Olanipekun (SAN), Counsel to Ajimobi, urged the tribunal to dismiss the petition, saying that it lacked merit and facts.
