Nigerians on social media have called on Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, to tear his green card, following the vow he made, should U.S Republican candidate Donald Trump win the presidential elections.
According to Soyinka who made the vow last week, “If in the unlikely event he (Trump) does win, the first thing he’ll do is to say all green-card holders must reapply to come back into the US. Well, I’m not waiting for that.”
“The moment they announce his victory, I will cut my green card myself and start packing up,” said Soyinka, who is scholar-in-residence at New York University’s Institute of African American Affairs.
Social media platform Twitter went agog following the victory of Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton as some Nigerians reminded Soyinka of his vow, and others dragging him to the mud.

Now that Trump won the election, what now happens to Wole Soyinka's green card? Will he tear it and comeback to stay in Nigeria?
