Nwosu who was one of the contestants in the December 8, 2014, PDP primaries in the state, had filed a suit against Ikpeazu, alleging that he forged his tax certificate. Joined in the suit are the PDP, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah. When the matter came up for mention, yesterday, Justice Allagoa heard and granted all pending motions for extension of time to enable parties who filed them to regularize such processes. He gave seven days for counsel to the parties to conclude the processes. Recall that the case was headed for adoption of written addresses on March 18, 2016, when counsel to Ikpeazu, C.C. Elele, told the former trial Judge, Justice S.M. Shuaibu, that the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Abuja, Justice Ibrahim Auta, had revoked the assignment order granted to the Judge, to hear and conclude the matter. Counsel to Nwosu, F. Unyimadu, prayed for a quicker resolution of the matter, stressing that as a pre- election, the matter ought to have been decided.]]>
