Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has criticised President Bola Tinubu for allegedly being indifferent to the economic hardship currently affecting Nigerians.

In a statement shared on his verified X account on Thursday, Atiku expressed concern over the government’s handling of the fuel subsidy removal.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidate in the 2023 election attributed the nation’s current economic crisis to what he described as a ‘haphazard and disingenuous’ approach.
According to him, at the current rate, there will be no reduction in the inflation that is severely impacting the quality of life for Nigerians.
He tweeted, “The haphazard and disingenuous approach of the current administration to fuel subsidy management has been the reason we are in this current economic crisis in the country.
“As things stand, there will be no let up in the escalating inflation rate, which is drowning the material well-being of Nigerians. It is even more worrying that T-pain is undisturbed by the hardship in the country. -AA”
This statement comes just hours after former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, expressed frustration with Nigerians for their passive response to the worsening economic situation.
Amaechi while speaking recently in an interview stated that if someone like him is struggling to afford diesel due to the economic hardship only God knows how the average Nigerian is coping.
