Dramatic aerial video from Brazil shows the extent of devastation in Brazil’s Minas Geraise state after a tailing dam burst on at an iron ore mine, owned by Brazilian miner, Vale SA.

Authorities have confirmed at least seven bodies have been retrieved from the site, with officials searching for about 200 people, still unaccounted for after

The owner of the iron ore mine, Vale SA, said 300 workers were in the area at the time of the disaster, mostly having lunch.

Families have been told to evacuate homes in low-lying areas, they said.

Brazilian environmental agency Ibama has fined miner Vale SA 250 million reais ($66.32 million) for various violations related to a tailings dam that burst at its Corrego do Feijao iron ore mine on Friday.

Vale caused pollution, made the area unfit for habitation and committed other regulatory violations, with each of the five violations carrying a fine of 50 million reais, Ibama said in a statement on Saturday.
