Resign now, apologize to Nigerians, Lawyer tells Buhari

Ogele described the continuous silence of President Buhari on the nefarious activities of the Fulani herdsmen as deafening and worrisome. The Right activist who addressed Journalists in Akure, the Ondo State capital said it is unacceptable that Buhari could declare the IPOB as a terrorist Organisation but keep mute on the deadly activities of the herdsmen. Ogele charged Nigerians to come out enmass and protest against the ineptitude of the Buhari led administration and the reckless killing of Nigerians. He said “The situation on ground in this country requires our President to come out and confess that he can no longer maintain the security of this country “Is as if Nigerians are celebrating Fulani killings, they are even perpetrating this heinous crime with impunity. “It is disturbing that they have the gut to go back to the village where they carried out their commando operations, for the purpose of killing those who survived the previous attack. “It is high time in this country for every state to organize its own security outfit since the Nigeria Police has failed in its constitutional responsibility to provide for adequate protection for Nigeria. “The present Inspector General of Police (IGP) should, for the sake of Nigerians, come out to apologize to all and sundry that he’s incapable to provide adequate protection for Nigerians. “The Fulani herdsmen have taken over the whole country for the purpose of eliminating people in the country. “Nigerians must come out and stage a peaceful demonstration against the senseless killings of Nigerians. “If this situation should continue unabated, I think APC has no moral justification to present a single candidate for Presidency. “As a result of this Benue genocide, Buhari should resign immediately because he has failed in his oath to protect lives and property. “I think it is good for Nigerians and geo – political governors to come on board and protect their boundaries from the invasion of Fulanis. “If the Federal Government could prevent harmless IPOB from agitating from their rights effectively, then, the Federal Government is in a criminal alliance with the Fulani herdsmen.
