In Nigeria, Churches, Mosques, Police Stations and public offices shall not be used for political campaign and rallies.
PENALTY
Individual – N1,000,000 fine and 12 months imprisonment.
Political party – N2,000,000 fine
Today, public worship centers brazingly play host to politicians seeking public office. Sadly, no political party or politician has been prosecuted for this commonplace electoral misconduct.
