PENALTY FOR ABANDONMENT OF SPOUSES AND CHILDREN IN NIGERIA.
In Nigeria, it is an offence to abandon ones spouse, children and other dependents without means of sustenance.
Such offender upon conviction is liable to a term not exceeding 3 years imprisonment or a fine not exceeding ₦500,000.
