The Vice President will also deliver a paper on “Africa Rising”-Managing Africa’s Economies for the benefit of its people” after which he will declare the conference open. Chairman of the planning committee of the conference, Tunde Ajibade, who made this known at a press conference in Lagos, said the Vice President has already confirmed his attendance at the conference. Ajibade also said that the conference will be chaired by Dr. Lanre Babalola, former minister of power who will also be speaking at various sessions. The conference with the theme ‘Law and Economic Reform’ will hold from 22 to 24 June 2016 at the Transcorp Hilton hotel Abuja, he said. He added that other speakers at the conference are Dr. Kayode Fayemi, minister of Solid Minerals, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), Minister of Power, Works and Housing and Dr. Audu Ogbe, Minister of Agriculture. “The sessions at this year’s conference will focus on laws that directly impact on businesses in Nigeria with a view to critically examining how certain laws could impede businesses and become disincentives to economic development and how to get better laws for positive growth,” he added. ]]>
