Osinbajo to declare IIPELP 3rd Annual Judges' Open on June 19

The theme of the workshop is Law And The Changing Face of Petroleum,Gas & Power Sectors In Nigeria, taking place at Andrews Otutu Obaseki Auditorium,NIJ, Abuja by 10am. The Founder/President of the Institute, Niyi Ayoola- Daniels who is a Visiting Professor of Energy Law, Emerald Energy Institute of University of Port Harcourt confirmed at the weekend that Chief Justice Walter Nkanu Onnoghen (GCON,FNJI) will Chair the workshop.IIPELP advisory board members also led by Ayoola-Daniels paid courtesy visit on Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami SAN in his office who confirmed his attendance and also deliver a speech.Also at weekend the Management Board of NJI visited IIPELP. The team was led by the Administrator of NJI,Hon. Justice Roseline Bozimo who paid huge encomiums on Ayoola-Daniels and his able team for the great vision of organizing the workshop. The purpose of the workshop according to Ayoola-Daniels is to “equip judicial​ officers and judges with appropriate legal, fiscal, and regulatory issues”.Apart from the Minister of State for Petroleum Dr Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu who will deliver Osinbajo speech, other confirmed expected Guest are Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki, Speaker House of Representatives. Rt Hon. Yakubu Dogara, Former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon Justice Alfa Modibbo Belgore GCON, Minister of Power, Works and Housing Babatunde Raji Fashola SAN. Others according to Ayoola-Daniels are CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele, DG NIMASA Dr. Dakuku Peterside, Executive Secretary/CEO Nigerian Shippers Council (NSC), Mr Hassan Bello, MD/CEO NPA Hadiza Bala Usman and Executive Chairman, FIRS Babatunde Fowler among others. Advisory Board of IIPELP is chaired by Justice Belgore.
