* Air Peace yet to take delivery of crashed aircraft type FOLLOWING reactions trailing the tragedy that befell one of the Boeing 737 Max 8 in the fleet of Ethiopian Airlines which crashed few minutes after takeoff from the Bole International airport, Addis Ababa en route Nairobi, Kenya killing the whole 157 souls on board Sunday morning, information reaching Tribune Online just indicated that no such aircraft type is presently operating in the country’s airspace. According to the image maker of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Sam Adurogboye, from the records of the airplanes flying in the country, there was no record of such aircraft. This is just as Nigeria’s Air Peace airline said it was yet to take delivery of the ten Boeing 737 Max 8 he ordered for last year. The airline while saying there was nothing to worry about said presently it had only placed an order for the aircraft type in question according to the specification of the airline. While saying it was too early for anyone to start running commentaries on the tragedy added that Boeing as a reputable international aircraft manufacturer would rise to the occasion. The airline, however, used the occasion to assure its customers of safety promising that it was ready to go any length to give priority to the safety of the traveling public without compromising safety.]]>
