PROBONO CLINIC on Thursday, 11th April 2019. The Branch recognises that there is serious demand for these services and as a result is very delighted to encourage lawyers to show interest and commitment to these services to members of the public. Pro bono is done by a lawyer for the public good rather than for commercial interests, it is voluntary and uncompensated for the lawyer and free for the client. The benefits  include : Easy access to justice. promotion of the rule of law. An opportunity to give back to the society. Provision of opportunities for lawyers to work on interesting issues that might not deal with their routine work. Promoting liberty and the defence of the rights of citizens. The Convener, FUNMI ADEOGUN says the Pro bono CLINIC day is every 2nd Thursday of the Month at Epe Magistrates Courts in Epe Magisterial District. She added that it is in tandem with what the Lagos State Government is doing to enlarge access to justice especially for the indigent less privileged in the society and this is exceptionally so because the legal system is not accessible to anyone who cannot afford a lawyer even if that person is well educated. The Administrator, enjoined me to start this in our Branch as they only have Ikorodu BRANCH on their list.
