Funmi Adeogun The Chairman, on behalf of all the members of NBA, Epe Branch, Chairman Lekki Lawyers Forum (Mr.Olasewere) and Executive Members of NBA, Epe Branch thanked members of the NBA, Epe Branch and everyone that attended the launching of the project despite the short notice. He said that the project is to make life good for members of the Society. The Secretary, Mr. T.A Ogunlaja said it is a programme that came to ameliorate the suffering of the masses especially in this of our country that you pay more to buy less.. The Chairman, Lekki Lawyers Forum and Legal Adviser of the Branch ( Mr.Olayinka Olasewere) thanked the initiators of the programme (The Chairman; Prince A.S ABIMBOLA and the Social Secretary; FUNMI ADEOGUN ) for the laudable programme. He enjoined everyone to play a role and dedicate their 2nd Thursday of every Month for this call to service. Mr. Segun Aderele, a Senior member of Branch, said it is a good programme. However, there’s a need to create awareness to the public and try to extend it to civil matters especially Landlord and Tenant matter. Mrs Adedoyin Bosuro, the Welfare Secretary of the Branch said the programme came at the right time to help the less privileged in the society and pray that it would be successful. Mr. Babafemi Odutayo, another senior member of the Branch said he thinks the project is novel and it came just at the right time to ensure that people who otherwise will not be able to afford legal representation will also have access to justice. Tolulope Kafilat Bashua, who came from the office of the Public Defender said it’s a very good programme The Convener, FUNMI ADEOGUN said This initiative was gotten at a Conference she attended at the British Council on Friday, 5th April 2019 organised by RoLAC when she gave report on behalf of her church on how they have been helping in the area of Criminal Justice by: Offering Free Legal services to inmates Rehabilitating them Catering for their welfare. RoLAC Cordinator for Lagos State (Mrs.Ajibola) enjoined her to extend same to her Branch NBA as they have only Ikorodu Branch on their list.  ]]>
