BRIEF PROFILE/MANIFESTO OF ELIAS EMEKA ANOSIKE ESQ INTRODUCTION My name is Elias Emeka Anosike, and I am a member of NBA Abakaliki Branch. I attended the University of Jos, NLS Abuja and called to Bar in 19,99. Since my call I have been in core Legal Practice. I have participated in all AGC since my call and several NEC meetings. SERVICE TO THE BAR I have served the Bar in various capacities at the local branch and national level viz: -Publicity Secretary- Abakaliki Branch -Treasurer- Abakaliki Branch Secretary- Abakaliki Branch -NEC member since 2010 -Financial Secretary,EBF-2015-17 -Co-opted NEC member 2016 till date Chairman, Disciplinary committee- Abakaliki Branch 2016 till date SERVICE TO THE SOCIETY -State Chairman, Committee for the Defence of Human Rights(CDHR) a national NGO – Member, Board of Governors of Mile Four Hospital Abakaliki(founded by Medical Missionaries of Mary) -Secretary of the Urban Community Forum Abakaliki [caption id="attachment_104442" align="alignleft" width="300"] Elias Emeka Anosike Esq,[/caption] MANIFESTO OF ACTION If you elect me as the Financial Secretary of the NBA, I will serve you with utmost dedication and help to achieve the following: (1) To keep proper financial records of the Association; (2) To introduce an app that will assist members pay their annual Bar practice fees with ease and generate receipt; (3)To be in constant touch with branches and their officers to ensure that their members pay their annual dues, practice fees and other financial obligations as an when due, and in turn promptly work out what is due to the branches; (4)To ensure that there is proper budgeting process in line with best practices in the NBA; (5) To ensure prudent management of the financial resources of the NBA for the benefit of her members, especially the young lawyers; (6) To compile and circulate a list of members who have paid or in default, in respect of their practising fees in each year to the appropriate organs of the Association, the courts and other statutory bodies in line with my constitutional duties; (7) As a team player, I will assist in formulating policies that will enhance the welfare of Nigerian lawyers, especially the young lawyers.
