The Benin Branch of Nigerian Bar Association, (NBA) has condemned in strongest terms, the alleged attempt to kidnap a former Chairman of the Branch Solomon Odiase Esq.

It was reported that Solomon Odiase managed to escape from his abductors who however made away with his Toyota Camry Saloon Car, 2007 model with registration number, EDO, USL 330 EL.

In a release signed by the Chairman of the Branch, Prince Collins Benson Ogiegbaen and the Secretary, Pius I. Oiwoh Esq., on Saturday, 8th of June,2019.

The branch lamented the continuous target of Lawyers by armed robbers and kidnappers and posited that the present scenario validates the present position of the Benin Bar of boycotting Kidnapping and Armed Robbery cases in Court and Police formations.

The Statement called for a rejig of the Security architecture of Edo State to provide a safe security corridor for inhabitants of the State.
