Masterplan For Public Building Maintenance Gets FEC Approval

The new policy according to the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola was conceptualized to address poor maintenance culture in the country. FEC approved the policy, following pilot studies carried out on some of the federal unity colleges in the country, noting that it was also meant to create a value chain in the informal sector, where trained artisans would have the opportunity to be gainfully employed. Council also approved contracts for the engagement of nine land surveying companies to demarcate the lands that would be affected by the construction of the Mambila hydropower project. FEC equally approved provisional licences for four private universities in the country.
