In a statement from the office of the CJ, the sum of sum of Eight Million, Four Hundred and Eleven Thousand, Five Hundred Naira (N8,411,500.00) was discovered in the Fast Track Division of the High Court of Lagos State. “Two Alpha Beta receipts issued in respect of a Filing Fee in a matter in that division were found to be fake. “Mr. Oriade Olawale Mustapha, a staff in the Fast Track Division Igbosere, Lagos who is suspected to be involved in the fraud and was asked to appear before a Panel investigating the fraud has refused to appear and is currently at large. “The Police has commenced investigation which is extended to the bank and the chambers that filed the suit. “This is part of the efforts of the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Hon. Justice Opeyemi Oke to curb corruption in the State Judiciary.
