Justice Bukkachuwa in a formal complaint filed with the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mohamud Mohammed and Chief Judge of Kebbi State, Justice Ibrahim Bala Mairiga asked for a swift investigation of the matter, which involves the chief Registrar of Kebbi State High court, Abubakar Siddig Bello. The letter with reference number PCA/Sokoto/Vol.11 dated 15th September 2015 and titled “Urgent need to investigate this clandestine scheming and appropriately sanction all those involved”, requested the state judiciary to immediately investigate and punish all erring officials. The letter reads in part: “I wish to draw your attention to the attached petition written by Olayiwola Afolabi Esq. of Olayiwola Afolabi & Co. against the Chief Registrar of Kebbi State High court, Abubakar Saddiq Bello with respect to an order issued and signed by him in the case of Faluyi O. Charles & Ors. V NUT Kebbi state (suit No. KB/HC/M86/2006) after the matter had been heard in the Sokoto division of the Court of Appeal (Appeal No. CA/S/48/2010) and judgment entered on 19/5/2015 allowing the appeal and setting aside the decision of the Kebbi State High court. “I urge your leadership to use your good office in ensuring that the matter is fully investigated and proper steps taken to forestall future occurrences. “Please find attached copies of the petition, the judgment of court of Appeal, Sokoto Division as well as the said order. Do accept my warmest regards.” The petition is related to an attempt by certain litigants to obtain a fake judgement of court ij order to pervert the course of justice.]]>
