Correspondent Ibrahim Isah reports that the tribunal’s decision is coming about three weeks since Governorship Election was conducted and a winner declared in the state. The Peoples’ Democratic Party PDP filed an exparte motion requesting access to voting materials barely two weeks after the Kano Election Tribunal had its inaugural sitting in the state. The Election Tribunal in a preliminary sitting headed by Justice Halima Shamaki acceded to the request of the PDP, granting access to all voting materials used by INEC during the March 9th and 23rd Governorship Polls.
