A unanimous resolution was passed on a motion moved by Onyeka Ikenta Esq and was seconded by Marcel Dim-Udebuani Esq insisting that constitutional ammendment can only be done in line with the laid down procedure. The decision for the rejection was predicated on the need to be in line with the laid down procedure for ammendment and not by arbitrary means as being proposed by President A.B Mahmoud SAN and also that it is the desire of the branch that leadership of the bar should be closer to the members as represented by the present branch structure as opposed to state bars.
