The signing of the budget came barely one week after the state assembly passed it into law with some little adjustments from the original copy earlier submitted by the governor. Speaking after signing the budget, Badaru promised to take all necessary measures to ensure full implementation of the budget. He said the budget was designed to bring the desired change for a better life to Jigawa people as about 60 per cent of it was earmarked for capital project.. The governor then urged the members of the house of assembly to keep supporting the executive for a successful implementation of the budget. which is first to the history of new administration in the state.
