Justice Dr. Tanko Muhammed CFR that all court sittings be suspended for 2 weeks in the first place as part of the proactive measures put in place to combat COVID-19 pandemic.

The Chief Registrar, Mr. O. W. Daudu made the remark and enjoined all Divisional Registrars to fully adhere with the directive.
“The Hon President is concerned about the safety and wellbeing of all the staff of the Court and has therefore advised that we should observe all measures that guarantee our individual and collective safety.” Mr. Olurotimi Daudu stated.
The National Industrial Court has exclusive jurisdiction on civil causes and matters relating to or connected with any labour, employment, trade unions, industrial relations and matters arising from workplace, the conditions of service, including health, safety, welfare of labour, employee, worker and matters incidental thereto or connected therewith.
